Local Community

A vital part of our Vision is to serve our local community, including the local primary schools.  We are involved with several programs in local primary schools.
Kids Hope
KIDS HOPE AUS. is a World Vision ministry aimed at creating a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable Australian children and their families. It is a mentoring ministry built on a long-term partnership between local churches and primary schools, where a caring adult from the church spends one hour each week with a child.
KCBC is privileged to work with Boronia West Primary School in the Kids Hope program.
Several of our members are also involved in
teaching SRI (Special Religious Instruction) in local schools.
A couple of our members are chaplains at local schools.
MadHouse is a lunchtime games program for grades 5 and 6 which is run on a Wednesday @ Boronia West Primary School. All grades 5 & 6 kids are welcome to come along and have some fun.

As well as connections with Primary Schools, we are pleased to be part of the life of the Secondary Schools in the area, with programs such as Student Focus & Chaplaincy.
Student Focus is a lunchtime games program for years 7-10. We run this in association with Youth Dimension, a Christian Youth Schools Program based in Warrandyte. Student Focus is around 35 minutes of games mayhem which also includes a short faith-based talk that aims to impact students and get them thinking about the bigger issues of life and faith.

The Haven is a day program meeting the needs of those with dementia and their carers.  It operates Monday - Thursday from 10am - 4pm at Knox Community Baptist Church.
